Applications now being accepted for the 2025 ESA Postgraduate Research Grants

This special celebratory year marks 50 years of ESA activities, and the beginnings of its first major projects like Meteosat, Spacelab and Ariane. But the ESA Archives isn’t just about the past – we are also investing in early-career researchers today. Any MA student, PhD researcher, or recent postdoc with an interest in topics including European cooperation, science and space, climate change, industrial relations and exchange of data/information can apply for an ESA postgraduate research grant.

Applications have just opened for the 2025 round, offering two grants of €5000, funded by ESA and administered by the European University Institute (EUI), to support research based on the ESA holdings that are deposited at the Historical Archives of the European Union.

It’s open to researchers dealing with any aspect of ESA’s activities or history - don’t hesitate to apply!
