ESA F publications
ESA F 26 for Eureca © ESA ECSR

The ESA F series comprised ‘folders’ with inserts, produced by the ESA Publications Division and totalling just 35 references in all. It seems likely that the series was created in the 1980s, since the first references to it come from ESA instructions issued in 1988. More permanent information was given on the folder itself, and the inserts could be replaced when outdated. Some of these inserts are loose sheets of papers, others are bound brochures or folded inserts.

There were two main categories in the series: folders for public relations purposes (for the space -interested public or media) on special events such as launches or anniversaries, and those designed to interest potential users in ESA facilities or services.

The physical collection in the ECSR Archives covers the period 1986-1994. It forms part of the material arising from communication activities and which was collected through the years from different deposits from staff and from the ESOC communication office.

This digitised collection comprises a total of 16 publications, 11 in English, 3 in French and 2 in both, spanning the same period (1986-1994).
