On Station
On Station Issue 5 © ESA

On Station was the newsletter of the Directorate of Manned Spaceflight and Microgravity, issued from 1999 to 2004 in 18 volumes. It was part of the Newspapers series, later renamed Newsletters, for periodic publications between 8 and 12 pages (despite that fact that issues of On Station generally contained over 20 pages!) Content for these publications was approved by the relevant director (who also covered printing and mailing costs).

On Station was published by the ESA Publications Division in ESTEC and was free to all readers interested in ESA’s manned spaceflight and microgravity activities. It replaced the former Microgravity News and Columbus Logbook newsletters and its name was chosen as a metaphor for ‘being ready’ or ‘being on post’.

This collection in the ECSR Archives covers the complete period of its production, from December 1999 to November 2004.
